Lisa’s Christian Testimony

I feel I’m being called as a Christian to share with my brothers and sisters in Christ, these words :

I would like to give praise to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

All three as one have impacted my life greatly.

Thank you Father for living in my heart and comforting me throughout life. Even when I tried to live it on my power alone. My heart cried out to you during the most difficult times in my life and you were the only true comfort. I felt your presence with me giving me inner strength. You answered my prayers when I cried out to you in all sincerity. When my heart was broken, I prayed for you to send me a good man who would care for me. A month later I met my husband. When my husband fell ill from liver disease, I worked overtime until my body and mind felt like I couldn’t take it anymore. I cried out to you and asked, “Why are you doing this to me? Help me! I can’t take it anymore.” A job that formerly denied my application turned around and hired me even though I was under-qualified. When my husband was weeks away from dying, and I cried out to you once more begging, “Please don’t take my husband from me!” You gave him a second chance at life with a new liver. I promised you that I would follow you always if you came through for me. Even though you did all these things, I still tried to live life on my own. You started to call out to me and reminded me of these things and asked me to come back. I gave you excuse after excuse and yet you were still patient with me. You gave me an opportunity to seek fellowship with you and kept calling me until I answered back. Looking back now I can’t believe you answered these kinds of prayers. I was crying, getting upset, asking you not to take my husband away as if you were a vengeful God or something, playing Let’s Make a Deal. Good heavens, did I have a lot of learning to do!

Thank you Jesus Christ for saving me from evil. You performed a miracle in my life and saved me from demonic spirits who spiritually attacked me at night. I called upon your name and you intervened and saved my soul every time. There is strength, love, and power in your name. There is undeniable truth, an indescribable peace, and beauty in you. You were my only hope and the only name to call upon during those difficult nights. My faith in you was the only thing I had to lean upon. No earthly possession in the world could protect me; there was only you and me. I clung to you for dear life and learned to be completely dependent on you like a helpless child. You protected me under your wings and for that I will be eternally grateful. I long to be with you and meet you in heaven so I can thank you for saving my soul. I imagine what you would look like, if you would smile at me, if you would take me in your arms and tell me you love me. To rest easy now because I’m safe.

Thank you Holy Spirit for indwelling in my heart and being my counselor who reminds me of God’s love and his word through Jesus. You protected me from harm and speak to my heart. I first thought I was cursed and doing something wrong to have such horrible encounters with evil. You told me to change my life around, focus on the good, read my Bible, learn about Christ, and to be dependent on the Lord completely. You regenerated my life and brought me back to life from being dead in spirit. You told me that what happened to me was not a curse but a gift that the Lord gave me to share with his people, to let them know that the Lord is still here in spirit for anyone who calls upon his name. He’s still alive in our hearts and performing miracles to this day. You tell me to seek not only your children but to encourage the lost to come to Christ so they can know the Father.

I asked you, “Why me?”

You told me, “Because I love you and I know you will tell others because you love me too.” You said to have strength and faith. That this was a part of taking up my cross and following Christ. “Believe in me with all your heart, soul, and strength and I’ll give you life. Live in me in all your ways and you will have peace and love. You’ll be a new creation that will shine to show others what Christ can do for them too.” You encouraged me to speak to my mother because she could give me support. My mother told me that she has noticed such a difference occur in me and that the positive change in my life was her miracle. She told me that while I had been away from the Lord that she had been praying for my salvation and that the Lord would help me. I told her that the Holy Spirit put it in my heart to tell her that God answered her prayer and that not only did he answer it, but that he also directed me to her for support so she could see that he was working within me.

In closing, I hope this encourages others if they feel a little far from God to have faith and know he’s always there for you. He cares about you so much. He knows your heart and wants desperately for you to rely on him and live in him. To seek his counsel. He will be true to you. All you have to do is believe with everything you’ve got. He’ll come through. You just have to be sincere and mean it in your heart.

If anyone would like to share their testimony, I’d be more than happy to listen or read it. I would love to hear how God is working in other people’s lives. Maybe this could be an olive branch so that if anyone would like to share anything, we can all be each other’s support. Anyway, I’d like to leave you with some passages to which the Holy Spirit likes to direct me.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30

I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, “Move from here to there” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
Matthew 17:20

Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on it’s stand? For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed. And whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.
Mark 4:21

If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self? If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.
Luke 9:23

I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God.
Luke 12:8

  1. Thank you for the encouraging words. We all have our doubts sometimes and need some positive feedback when things aren’t going our way. We need to trust God wholeheartedly, even though we have uncertainty in how God plans out our lives. To keep our eyes on Him and put total trust in our Heavenly Father, who cares for our every need! God bless!
