Linda’s Testimony
Linda’s testimony is short and sweet. Take two minutes and read it for yourself. I don’t want to spoil it!

Mike sent in this story a while ago and I finally got around to posting it. I appreciate this story a lot, probably because it contains a lot of similarities to my own story. Of course there are differences, but it’s amazing how God finds ways to reach each of us.
Here’s an excerpt from his story to capture your interest . . .
For years I was a daily user of marijuana, and spent my weekends partying with friends. I would go through jobs almost as fast as I would smoke a carton of cigarettes, that is until I was offered the ultimate job for a person with my lifestyle, a place I had burned most of my free time and money at, the Renton Pub. Now I would at least be paid to be there (although I would still recycle most of my paycheck back to The Pub). At this point I led a life of little responsibility and no accountability. I met a young lady and I eventually became responsible for the birth of a baby girl. At this point my transgressions had not been actualized, and little had changed in my life. A few months later I met another young woman and once again became responsible for another pregnancy.

O.K. I realize it’s nowhere close to the beginning of 2010; in fact, it’s about the middle of the year, but I will say that Mike submitted this poem on January 2, 2010. I’m just a little behind in updating the site (O.K., a lot). Anyway, Mike, thanks for the submission. I love the poem and I love the message. Let this poem motivate you to live for Christ and really make a difference for the rest of 2010.

It’s pretty amazing when God steps in and changes someone’s life. What’s even more amazing is when it’s a person who’s already convinced that God is a myth. Check out Christopher’s testimony – the story of how God opened the ears and eyes of an unbelieving scientist.

Here’s an interesting testimony (it’s a long one). I thought I’d post it as a contrast to the super-short one I posted yesterday!
Anyway, in it, Biff tells the story of how he hated his father. He talks about his life before he fully committed to the Jesus of the Bible; he talks about the difficulty of “dying” to self and giving up everything to live as a true disciple of Jesus Christ. Read it and be encouraged and convicted as I was.

I always prefer it when a person gives me their name . . . but I won’t discount testimonies like this one.
Truly Jesus has had an impact on this person’s life.

Brooke’s testimony is powerful.
It’s an illustration of God’s promise to never leave or forsake us.
Brooke ran as far from Him as she could. But when she needed Him, she cried out to Him and He answered her. He came to her in her time of need.
Not only that, but Brooke had a network of Christians praying for her. God listened to those prayers and he responded to them in a powerful way. The prayer of the saints is effective (James 5:16
).
I rejoice with Paul, knowing that the gospel of God is being preached through Brooke and her story. Praise God! I’m thankful to serve One who will never leave or forsake us . . . One who will always welcome us home.

I haven’t posted in so long I almost forgot how to find my blog!
I have so many things to post . . . but just haven’t found the time to post them.
Tracey submitted this testimony a long time ago, and it’s another classic story of the way God find us in the middle of our messes. No matter how hard we try to mess our lives up, He’s still there . . . watching, waiting and hoping for us to return to Him.

Another amazing story has recently hit our inbox.
Sam was an athlete in high school and college and enjoyed being popular and in the limelight. But as these situations often go, Sam didn’t become a professional athlete – instead he became a drug addict.
Find out how God brought someone into his life (like He did for me) to speak the truth to him and get him on the right track.

I recently received this moving story from Shawn. He lived a life full of pain and regret. He was a hard-core atheist and fully addicted to drugs. He spent years of his life wallowing in misery and depression. Find out how God freed him from all of it.
One detail that might go unnoticed in this story really struck me. As Shawn lived in a hotel for months on end, he threw a Bible away a number of times. Every time he came back to his room the maid had taken it out of the trash and put it on his bed or nightstand. We don’t know that maid’s name or anything about her. What we know is that her commitment to pulling that Bible out of the trash ultimately saved Shawn’s life.
Let her example encourage you to listen to Jesus today.

As a new ager (reiki master, chakra balancer, energy healer, angel energy healer, wizard, sorcerer) Mary considered herself and expert in all things spiritual. Then Jesus Christ came along and opened her eyes to the truth. She began to understand how completely Satan had deceived her.

Karinne lost her mother to cancer. During the ordeal she became angry with God. Why had He taken her mother?
She soon discovered that God has ways of letting us know that He still cares about us, even when we’re struggling with life’s challenges. He often shows us His love in surprising ways.
Read Karinne’s testimony and be blessed.
