Always There

Be still my Lord tells me in the middle of my storm,
When stress and anxiety is beyond the norm
When discouragements and disappointments abound,
I know my God is always around
When the whole world seems against me,
I know that he is the one that has never left me
He has always shown me his mercy and his grace,
Sparing me from leaving without him this earthly place
I’ve made many mistakes in my past,
Fallen away from God but found my way back to him at last
I will never be a perfect person, each day I struggle to do what’s right,
But know I’m forgiven as I pray each night
And one thing that I am now well aware,
Through all my mistakes, bad choices and overall despair,
He never left me,
He was always there
