Thank you Brian for your poem. I’m embarrassed to say this, but this submission is from 2012! That’s how far I am behind. So Brian, I doubt you’ll notice that I’m finally getting to this . . . but maybe you will!
Mark, my friend, seems to be quite the prolific writer. He’s just submitted yet another poem! Actually, he’s submitted a bunch that I haven’t posted. I need to get on the ball. In fact, I have lots of content that I haven’t posted. So stick around. More content (poems, articles, testimonies) coming in the near future!
Yes, I know I’m behind. Way behind. Grossly behind. I just scrolled to the end of my unanswered emails (for truthsaves) and the last one contained this poem, from 08/11/2014. I like the poem so I’m posting it now. It reminds us of the significance of communion.
My buddy Mike has graciously decided to send us another of his amazing poems. And why are they amazing? Because they point people toward the author and perfecter of our faith — Jesus!
Do you know anyone who lives in captivity to fear? I do. Do you know someone who needs to hear the good news of Jesus Christ? I do. Do you know anyone who needs to be reminded that God is with us, all the time? I do!
Check out Mark’s latest poem — it’s a great reminder that God came to us, died for us, rose again and is with us forever — and we need to share the good news!
I gotta say, I really appreciate what God has given me. Pastor Paul gave me a task a few days ago — to write down what God has done in my life. Once I started working on the list, I realized I could write forever so I tried to synthesize the many blessings into larger, more overarching ones. One of those overarching blessings in my life is my friends.
The friends God has given me have saved my life, coached me, directed me, prayed for me, encouraged me, supported me financially, taught me . . . I could go on but you get the idea. One such friend is Mark. You know, the guy who wrote so many poems for this site. I met him this morning for coffee and he really encouraged me. He reminded me that Christ is our end goal. He reminded me to keep my eyes on Him. Forget the world. Forget worrying. Forget theological debates. Focus on the prize — Jesus Christ.
For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
1 Corinthians 2:2 NKJV
Anyway, Mark also sent me this poem recently . . . read it and be blessed!
Mark has decided, once again, to bless our site with some words of truth. Such simple words, but so revealing.
Thank you, Mark.

Do you know what’s going to happen to you in the next minute?
None of us do. That’s precisely why we must take this moment, right now, to call on Jesus Christ, the only One who can remove our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Thank you Mark for this tribute to Tim, the greatest man I have ever known.
For those of you who don’t know, Tim is the author of the majority of the articles on this site (including a large variety of poems). He passed away last December and for those of us who knew him, he is truly missed.
