We were one of those families in the stages of home foreclosure. I was scared, because I didn’t know where my family would live. I am a Christian and I knew the words of God but did not have faith. I kept reading and hearing the news about how many homes were being lost. I had nobody to turn to. No family members, no loans—I did not have anything. No one could help us.
I woke up one day and read Scriptures about our needs and the one that sticks out the most was when God said do not worry what you shall eat, or about tomorrow, etc. God is in control. I repented of my worry.
I received plenty of letters telling me when I had to move and that I had to put my house up for sale, but I stood on His Word believing that no matter what happened, He is in control and He will put me in a better place if this place is taken. I had to cast all my cares on Him.
I later received a UPS letter stating that I had been given a loan modification. My first interest rate was 7% and now it had dropped to 5%—dropping my mortgage payment almost $300. I got to keep my house and pay a better interest rate. I had no idea this would happen.
Wow, that’s pretty awesome! It will help many of us who go through uncertainty in life, to trust and have faith in God as you did. In the end, God does take care of our needs and later on, we will think back, why did I worry at all? Thanks for sharing your story!
