The Bible tells us that God knows everything. He knows the past, the present and the future. Since He knows the choices we will make before we make them, do we really have the ability to make our own choices? Do we really have free will?
For instance, if God knows I’m going to yell at my boss tomorrow, and tomorrow comes, do I really have the option of not yelling at my boss? Or is it already set?
Find out what we think.
God created the heaven and the earth. He is the Beginning and the End. He knows all things. Just because He know what we are going to do before we do it doesn’t mean that we do not have free will, because we do.
In the garden of Eden, He knew that Adam had sinned, but He asked him, what had he done anyway. He knew that Cain had killed his brother Abel, but he asked him, where is your brother?
God gives us free will to choose to do what’s right or wrong. He wants us to know what we have done, always giving us the free will to repent and do what’s right.
John 15 tells us, If we abide in Him, He will abide in us. We, the branches must stay connected to the Vine. In this way, our free will, will be the will of the Lord because we will allow Him to flow and work within us.
