Brian’s Testimony—Freedom from Drugs

Brian’s testimony of how the Jesus of the Bible delivered him from the grasp of drugs and alcohol.

Brian’s testimony really struck me tonight. Maybe because it’s like my own. I know what it’s like to be trapped in an endless circle of sin, seemingly unable to escape. But praise God—He always provides a way out. He loves us and He wants us to return to Him. If you’re ensnared in drugs, or pornography, or any other sin that seems to have you by the throat—don’t despair. Jesus will never give up on You. He started a work in your heart and He will complete it. You might be saying, “Well, God never started a work in my heart so He has nothing to complete!” You can throw that excuse out the window. He brought you here, and you’re about to read Brian’s testimony, so . . .

The Jews—Still God’s People?

Weren’t all the promises of God to the Jews fulfilled at the cross? Why then do people still refer to them as “God’s People?”

So many people talk about the Jews as being “God’s people” and about all the things He’s yet going to do for them. After the cross, all one has to do to become part of God’s family is have faith in Jesus Christ. So why would God give the Jews any special consideration? Weren’t all His promises to the Jews fulfilled at the cross?

Christmas is Coming

A poem about the true meaning of Christmas. Are you focused on money? Gifts? Santa? Lights? Forget about that stuff & remember Jesus.

This poem reminds us that Christmas isn’t just about blowing money. It’s not about going into debt, about giving the most or getting the most, or about Santa Claus. It’s about the Jesus of the Bible, the One who came to earth to give us eternal life. Let’s try keeping our focus where it belongs this Christmas season.

Is This Guy Saved?

A question. I believe in Jesus but not the Trinity, virgin birth, deity of Christ, or the inerrancy of Scripture. Am I saved?

Here’s a question that came in recently. I’ll post it in its entirety.

I was raised in the Baptist church, my father was a pastor at one time. I made a public confession of my faith when I was young and was baptised. I became a missionary and did that work for nearly 20 years.

I no longer believe in the Trinity, the virgin birth, or that Jesus was God. I no longer believe that salvation is by faith nor do I believe in the inerrancy of the Bible.

But I do firmly believe in God and what Jesus actually said (not what they say he said). I pray every day and read and study the scriptures. I love God and Jesus. I see miracles happening all the time because of my faith and prayer.

Am I saved or not?

Well, what do you think? Is this guy saved or not?

Charan’s Christian Testimony

Don’t ever give up praying for your lost loved ones. God may yet work a miracle in their lives.

It’s easy to give up praying for someone when you’ve prayed for oh-so-long and the only answer is silence. It’s easy to ask the question, “God, why are you ignoring me? Why can’t you reveal yourself?”

Charan’s testimony reminds us never to stop praying for our loved ones that don’t know the Jesus of the Bible. Continue praying. God will hear and He will honor your commitment and perseverance.

Steven’s Christian Testimony

In a moment, Steven’s world turned upside down. If your life crashed & burned, would you still trust Jesus? Steven’s story.

In the blink of an eye, Steven’s world was turned upside down. Terrible automobile accidents have a tendency to do that to people.

Updated "About Us" Page

OK, I’ve updated the ABOUT US page and now there’s new information about Tim, me and the evolution of truthsaves.

I looked at the About Us page the other day and I noticed it said, “I don’t have any kids . . .” Since I have two kids I thought, hm, this page needs to be updated.

We’ve also received some questions asking about Tim. Questions like, “Who are you and why should we trust what you say?” So, we decided that our About Us page needed to include some information about Tim.

Not only that, but we thought readers might appreciate a little information about how the site has evolved over the years.

So, here it is. Our new, revamped About Us page.
