The Death of Judas

Matthew says Judas hanged himself. In Acts we read he fell & his guts spilled out. So which is it?

Matthew 27:5 says that Judas went out from the temple and hanged himself. Acts 1:18 says that Judas fell headlong in a field and his guts spilled out. At first glance these accounts seem to contradict one another. Do they?

My Terrible Sin

My sin is so terrible—I think my heart is black. I don’t think God wants me back.

Your own sin may or may not be similar to the one described in the following article, but the concept explained applies to everyone. The devil has a way of convincing people that their sin is so terrible that their chance of salvation has been ruined. Nothing could be further from the truth. God delights in the prodigal son or daughter returning to Him. Scripture is replete with sinners finding grace and mercy extended to them by the God of the Bible. David was a murderer. Rahab was a prostitute. Paul made a habit of persecuting Christians. Rest assured that God is waiting for you to return to Him and that He will accept you with open arms.

Nishi’s Christian Testimony

Born and raised a Hindu in an abusive household and school system, Nishi still found her way to Jesus.

Nishi was raised a Hindu. Her mom treated her abusively. She suffered at the hands of her teachers. I don’t want to say too much more for fear I’ll spoil the story. Read about Nishi’s epic spiritual battle and how Jesus Christ rescued her.

Forgive Yourself

Mike’s poem reminds us that it is possible to forget our past lives of guilt and shame. We are new creations in Christ.

Mike’s latest poem speaks of guilt . . . and letting go. It’s easy to hold onto past sins and tell ourselves we aren’t worthy of God’s calling. But we are. We’ve been washed clean. We are white as snow. Our sins are forgiven and forgotten. We are sanctified. Holy. Accepted. Washed. Renewed. We are new creations in Jesus. Amen.

Bryan’s Christian Testimony

Bryan tells the story of how God molded him into the man God wanted him to be.

Here’s an excerpt from Bryan’s testimony . . . this was a major turning point in his life.

. . . Frantically, I reached out for help but my hand didn’t get above the water and the river was too murky to see anything. I couldn’t determine where I was from the surface. In what seemed to be forever but in all actuality was just a few seconds, I began to realize that I was drowning. My life started to flash through my mind in scenes. I saw my wife and parents and thought about how they would manage without me. I thought about how devastated they would be.
