We got a question a while back about how much the 30 pieces of silver Judas received to betray Jesus would be worth in today’s currency. We answered it, then another person wrote us to ask us how we could have possibly come up with the answer we did. Well, here’s our answer to how we came up with our answer! Reshmi’s Christian Testimony
Reshmi’s testimony starts like this:
I was born and raised a Hindu. My mother was a very devout Hindu woman and her faith instilled in us a strong belief in God. I grew up, earnestly believing in the gods that my religion offered and never found a reason to look beyond my religion.
When Reshmi’s gods didn’t answer her prayers, she turned to the Jesus of the Bible. And guess what? He did answer her prayers. Not to say that Jesus always gives us what we want. But He does let us know that He’s there. If we seek Him, we find Him. He makes Himself known to us and we can walk with Him from day to day. Hebrews 6:4-8
Hebrews 6:4-8 and Luke 9:62 seem quite similar. These passages seem to say that once a person looks back, or falls into sin, that there is no longer any hope for redemption. Is this true? Click the link below to find out what we think.
Lucille’s Christian Testimony
In 10th grade, Lucille suffered through a time of severe depression. She cut herself. She lashed out at others. She didn’t believe she deserved happiness. In her words, “10th grade almost took my life completely away.” The following is her story of how she made it through this time and found contentment and fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Refocus Your Mind
Sometimes we sin. And sometimes, with repetition, our sin leads us into negative thinking patterns that seem to overtake our minds. And then we feel that we are forever trapped in an web of evil. But such is a lie from Satan. We can choose what we think about. Thinking patterns can be replaced with one news. Tactics like memorizing Scripture will help us refocus our minds on the things of God. And eventually, with discipline and consistency, we will drive the sinful thoughts out. Where is God?
Sometimes in life we have these amazing God-experiences. He shows us Himself. He fills us with His spirit. He does something special for us, something that we’ll always remember. But if we continually seek these experiences, we’ll be disappointed. Life is not most lived in these exciting moments; it is most lived in the everyday, in-between times. The normal, day-to-day times. It is in these times, when life is non-exciting and sometimes downright depressing, that we must consistently choose to follow Him, serve Him, and love Him. Liz James
Liz James lived a quiet life. But she lived a meaningful life–a life lived out in service to others. Long alone, she suffered through many disappointments and sorrows but her faith stayed strong. Would our faith remain strong in such circumstances? Tim’s poem was written in memory of the life of Liz James. Click the link below to read it.

Elizabeth’s Christian Testimony
Sometimes, even after we taste the goodness of God, we go our own way. It doesn’t make sense. It’s confounding behavior. But we still do it. Thankfully, the God we serve is a compassionate God, full of grace and mercy. He waits for us to return to Him. He waits with open arms. He calls us to Him. He gives us every reason to come back. But ultimately, the choice is ours. What will we choose? Life? Or death? Elizabeth chose life. What will you choose?

Anglicans Anonymous
Mike wrote this poem . . . and he’s British (I think) so it’s OK. But I think the message he’s trying to get across is much more global in nature: if we’re Christians and we know the Good News, then we should share it. Keeping it to ourselves can have tragic consequences. Click the link below to read Mike’s poem.
