Does God Want Me Back?

Will God accept me after years of deliberate sin? Hebrews seems to say it’s impossible to return to God.

Sometimes we ditch God and go our own way. We live in sin, deliberately, and lose sight of our relationship with God.

Will God take us back if we decide to come back to Him? What about the passages in Hebrews that make it sound like we’re doomed if we’ve done any serious backsliding?

Check out our interpretation of those passages and what we think about the original question:

Does God Want Me Back?

Melvin’s Christian Testimony

Melvin’s testimony reminds us to listen for God’s direction.

Sometimes we don’t listen to God as closely as we should. This testimony reminds us that God may be telling us something important, right now, that we desperately need to listen to. Read how God directed Melvin to be in the right place at the right time to save his girlfriend’s life.

William’s Christian Testimony

William shares his life’s grief and how God pulled him through the fire. His testimony is inspiring.

Sometimes God’s saints are tested. Just because we’re Christ-followers doesn’t mean our lives will be all peaches and cream.

William spent some time in Iraq. While he served our country, his wife went crazy and left him. She started sleeping around and wreaked some serious havoc on his life and the lives of his children.

Many men would have given up but William continued to trust God. Read his amazing story and be encouraged.

Tim’s Christian Testimony

Tim’s testimony speaks of God’s faithfulness.

I’ve said it before. No story is boring and yours could be the one that touches someone’s life in ways you could never imagine. Tim (yes, our Tim) didn’t believe me (at least he didn’t seem to because no testimony has been forthcoming over the years), but finally he’s submitted his story.

It’s an amazing story of how God cares for us, even in life’s little things, like helping us get back into a building that supposed to be locked. Like taking away a child’s frightening nightmares. And it’s a story of how He cares for us in the big things, like helping us get through the ravages of a life-threatening disease.

As Christians, life isn’t always easy, but God is always there to lead us through the fire.

Parable of the Fern and the Bamboo Tree

A Christian poem about trusting God. He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.

Vinita sent us a poem about waiting on God. Sometimes we lose faith. We give up on God; we don’t believe He’ll keep His promises. But His Word promises that He who began a good work in us will be faithful to complete it.

Never lose hope! God will never give up on us.

Older Than Dirt

Godliness with contentment is great gain.

Waiting on God and being content with current conditions can be a real drag sometimes. But God calls on us to be content with our circumstances and wait on Him. He has good things in store for all those who love Him.

Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment . . .
I Timothy 6:6 (ESV)

Peter Lamb (pseudonym) has submitted a fun article on the importance of waiting on God.

Check it out.

Christian Testimonies

We’ve posted fifty Christian testimonies on our site and we’re looking for more. Submit your testimony for publication.

We’ve posted fifty spellbinding Christian testimonies on https://truthsaves.org/christian-testimony! It’s amazing watching God change lives.

Tonight I pray that God will place it on your heart to share your story. I pray that God will send us fifty more testimonies! As fast as they come in, I’ll post them on the site.

If you’re considering sending us your testimony, check out my squidoo page for some tips on writing an effective testimony.

If God places it on your heart to share your story, then clear away the excuses and write! Some possible (lame) excuses follow:

  • My writing skills suck!
  • My testimony’s not really a testimony. It’s just a boring story.
  • I’m low on time. I’ll do it tomorrow.
  • I don’t know where to start.

I’ve heard all these extremely lame excuses many times before. I would respond to these excuses as follows:

  • Your writing skills may suck, but we have a some good editors here.
  • Your story is an effective testimony. Hurting people are out there, right now, looking for someone, anyone – they can relate to. Your story could be the one to lead them into a living relationship with the Jesus of the Bible.
  • Come on. Everyone’s low on time. You find time for your priorities; this should be one of them.
  • Just start. Begin writing. You’ll find your flow.

We’re waiting. God’s waiting. People heading to hell are waiting. What are you waiting for?

Verses Describing the Deity of Jesus

The Bible supports the fact that Jesus is God.

Jesus equals God. God equals Jesus.

Do you believe this? Do you believe the Bible?

If you answered “no” to the first question and “yes” to the second, you might want to review your Bible.
