Emory Rowland’s Testimony

A Christian testimony of how the love of Jesus Christ captured a man’s heart.

As I browsed around, I happened upon an interesting site . . . called Clickfire. I’m still not 100% sure what it’s all about, but I’m enjoying my exploration. It appears to be a combination of webmaster tutorials (php, html, css), webhost reviews (what about Parcom?), free website tools . . . and, most importantly, it includes an amazing Christian testimony from Emory.

He gave me permission to post his testimony on truthsaves, so if you have a few minutes, you can read it here.

Lakendra’s Christian Testimony

Lakendra’s Christian testimony.

Meeting God’s high standards for holiness seems impossible. But thankfully, He doesn’t expect perfection. If He did, I’d definitely be struck by lightning.

Read Lakendra’s story of realization – that God loves her no matter what.

New Christian Testimony – From Gangster to Preacher

An exciting Christian testimony of transformation – from a street gangster to a preacher!

The good news never stops rolling in.

I just recently read this testimony – and I loved it because it reaffirmed that God doesn’t need perfect people to accomplish His will. He takes imperfect, broken, people and transforms them into His image.

What excites me so much? Well, I’m far from perfect, so it gives me hope that God will someday be able to use me in a powerful way.

Read this testimony of how Victor was changed from a street gangster to a preacher.

And hey, while you’re reading this, why don’t you send in your testimony? Don’t make another excuse – just send it in! God wants to use you!

New Testimony – Sheila’s Deliverance

Read Sheila’s testimony of God’s amazing grace in her life.

This phenomenal Christian testimony has actually been on my site for a long time, but Sheila recently made some modifications and adjustments to it, and asked me to re-post it. I have done so.

This story reveals a true deliverance. Read it and be blessed.

New Testimony – Freedom from Drugs

A Christian testimony describing a chaotic journey through a world of drugs and alcohol.

We’ve added yet another unbelievable Christian testimony to truthsaves. This is Scot’s story. He lived life numbed by alcohol and hard drugs. Doctors actually told his family members to start preparing for his death. He had no hope, or so it seemed.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)

New Testimony! Thrown in Jail (again) for Preaching!

Thrown in jail (again) for preaching the Gospel. A Christian testimony of boldness in the face of adversity.

Boldly sharing God’s Word wherever we go isn’t always easy. But when we do our part, God can work mighty miracles! Check out this story of my friend Henry; he continues preaching even when under fire, and God uses him in awesome ways.

Check out Henry’s testimony here.

New Testimony on truthsaves.org – Arrested!

Read this Christian testimony of being arrested for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.

This testimony tells the story of an arrest . . . typically the testimonies posted on this site tell of a conversion experience. Webster defines the word “testimony” as:

1. an open acknowledgment or
2. a public profession of religious experience.

I think that leaves it pretty wide open.

So, take some time to read Henry’s story of being arrested for preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s a good reminder that no matter what the cost, we need to be confidently and openly sharing our faith.

Danielle’s Testimony – Loving our Enemies

I’ve just posted a very powerful testimony. Danielle struggled with many people in her life who treated her very badly. And that’s putting it lightly. People did things to her that I find hard to imagine.

I struggle with getting along with people at work. I often feel that my team teacher has it out for me, or that Joe Blow is spreading awful rumors about me. I then get this irresistible urge (well, almost irresistible) to put them (verbally) in their place. I ponder various situations in my mind, and I rehearse scenarios in which I back these scumbags into a corner, verbally assault them, and vindicate myself!

But when I hear a story like this, it reminds me what we, as Christians, are called to do. We’re called to follow the example of Jesus, our great God and Savior. He loved people unconditionally, even people He knew were going to kill Him. He calls us to give up everything for Him. Giving up everything also means giving up our hatred, our anger, our spite – all our ugly baggage. Being like Jesus doesn’t come easily or naturally. But being His servant means losing ourselves so that we can gain an eternity with Him.

26 If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.
27 Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:26-27 (ESV)

27 “But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
29 To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either.
30 Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back.
31 And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.
32 If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount.
35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.
36 Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.
37 Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;
38 give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
Luke 6:27-38 (ESV)

We want your Christian Testimony!

Submit your Christian testimony to us and we’ll post it on our site.

I know I’ve said this before, in other places, at other times . . . but we’d really like to have your Christian testimony! Your testimony could be the one that someone needs to hear. Sometimes it’s a bit of a pain to write something up, or perhaps you don’t think you’re a good writer at all. It doesn’t matter! We can help you edit your testimony until it’s just what you want. Jesus didn’t call us to be sedentary and keep all the Good News bottled up. He commanded us to share His Word to the nations.

No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light.
Luke 8:16

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:19, 20

Sharing what He’s done in your life is an easy way to do this!  All it takes is a few minutes of effort on your part to write up your testimony and email it to us.  We’ll post it for the world to read.  Our website, in terms of traffic, grows monthly.  This last month (December 2007) was our busiest month yet.  If you post your story with us, the world will read it.   You will be obeying God’s command to let your light shine.

Your testimony doesn’t have to be a shocking story, or an amazing story that will blow people away.  We’re not looking only for sensational, unbelievable, dramatic, earth-shaking Christian testmonies (although we like those too).  We just want your story of God’s grace and forgiveness in your life, whatever that may be.  Every Christian has such a story.  Every person who has experienced God’s grace has a story worth telling.  And every story is a story worth hearing.  If you feel the Spirit prompting you to share His truth with others, now is a good time to get started.  Sit down and start writing it up.  We’ll not only post it here, but if you’d like, we can also recommend other sites that will post your testimony as well.

In His service,

Eric
