New Article – Knowledge Without Action

Knowledge of the Bible not accompanied by action is a dangerous thing.

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’
23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'”
Isaiah 7:21-23 (ESV)

If you have knowledge of the Word, but your life shows no evidence of it, you should be concerned.

Knowledge Without Action

Two New Christian Poems

Two poems about Jesus Christ and the hope He has supplied to the world.

Here at truthsaves we love poems that glorify Jesus Christ. Recently we’ve received two excellent submissions. One is written by Joe Breunig, author of Reaching Toward His Unbounded Glory (http://www.squidoo.com/book-isbn-1419650513), and it’s about the truth revealed in Biblical archaeology.

Read Prism to Our Past here.

The other is a powerful poem by Scot Crone revealing the hope Jesus Christ graciously supplies to all those who trust in Him. It doesn’t matter what we’ve done or where we are in life – God waits for us. His mercies are new every morning.

New Christian Testimony – From Gangster to Preacher

An exciting Christian testimony of transformation – from a street gangster to a preacher!

The good news never stops rolling in.

I just recently read this testimony – and I loved it because it reaffirmed that God doesn’t need perfect people to accomplish His will. He takes imperfect, broken, people and transforms them into His image.

What excites me so much? Well, I’m far from perfect, so it gives me hope that God will someday be able to use me in a powerful way.

Read this testimony of how Victor was changed from a street gangster to a preacher.

And hey, while you’re reading this, why don’t you send in your testimony? Don’t make another excuse – just send it in! God wants to use you!

Anyway, back to the main point . . . we’ve just posted a new Christian testimony of a man who was delivered from hell on earth. He even tried to take his own life at one point – but God wasn’t having any of that.

Go ahead – read his testimony and be blessed.

New Testimony – Sheila’s Deliverance

Read Sheila’s testimony of God’s amazing grace in her life.

This phenomenal Christian testimony has actually been on my site for a long time, but Sheila recently made some modifications and adjustments to it, and asked me to re-post it. I have done so.

This story reveals a true deliverance. Read it and be blessed.

Outline of Malachi

Malachi may be known as the rhetorical prophet. Check out our overview and outline of Malachi here.

It’s finally done. We’ve finally posted outlines of every book of the Bible.

I recently formatted and uploaded Tim’s outline of Malachi.

Malachi appears to be a contemporary of Nehemiah, prophesying approximately 70 years after the end of Zechariah’s prophecy, and the last prophet in Old Testament Scripture. Malachi apparently prophesied while Nehemiah was in Babylon (Nehemiah 13:6), and addresses some similar sins.

New Testimony – Freedom from Drugs

A Christian testimony describing a chaotic journey through a world of drugs and alcohol.

We’ve added yet another unbelievable Christian testimony to truthsaves. This is Scot’s story. He lived life numbed by alcohol and hard drugs. Doctors actually told his family members to start preparing for his death. He had no hope, or so it seemed.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)

Outline of Zechariah

An apocalyptic prophet speaks. Check out our overview and outline of Zechariah.

I just uploaded our overview and outline of Zechariah.

Zechariah was a contemporary of Haggai and began to prophesy before the last two prophecies of Haggai. He is known as an apocalyptic prophet in that he gives us a series of eight visions. Tim calls this book “The Prophecy of the Two Advents.” Both the first and second returns of Christ are prophesied of in this book.

The rest of the overview and outline of Zechariah is right here.

Outline of Haggai

An overview and outline of Haggai. Haggai had a simple message: It’s time to build the temple.

Here’s a short excerpt from our overview of Haggai:

Haggai was the first of the three postexilic prophets. He was the first prophet after the death of Jeremiah and Ezekiel. Daniel lived until approximately within 15-20 years of Haggai’s prophecy, but Daniel’s prophecies were in Babylon and Daniel was not listed among the prophets of Israel in the Hebrew Scriptures. God raised up Haggai to motivate His people back to His work.

Outline of Zephaniah

An outline of Zephaniah. We know Zephaniah as the Prophet of the Day of the LORD. While hope is contained for the righteous, judgment and wrath are the wellspring of the book.

We have an almost comprehensive collection of Bible book outlines on truthsaves. Feel free to check them out.

I just finished formatting Tim’s Zephaniah outline.

We know Zephaniah as the Prophet of the Day of the LORD. While hope is contained for the righteous, judgment and wrath are the wellspring of the book. Zephaniah prophesied somewhere between 630 and 621 B.C.
