God seems to love to take seemingly impossible circumstances and turn them around. He turned Paul, a Christian-murderer, into one of His most influential men in history. He turned Joseph, a Hebrew slave, into Egypt’s leader, second only to Pharaoh. He raised Jairus’ daughter from the dead. Emily’s poem reminds us that He has and continues to work miracles in the lives of everyday people.

I Saw A Little Girl of Seven
This poem by Emily (our youngest contributor ever at only 10 years old) reminds us that we want to avoid sin at all costs. Being tied down by sin is unpleasant and dangerous. And there’s only one way out — to ask God for help. He alone can rescue us from sin’s tight grasp.
What mechanism was used by God to harden Pharaoh’s heart? Did God orchestrate events so that, as a response to those events, Pharaoh’s heart was hardened? Or did God intervene directly and harden Pharaoh’s heart?
How did God Harden Pharaoh’s Heart?
Is God’s love strange? I suppose it might seem that way, considering what the world believes love is. Contrary to popular opinion, love isn’t all about sex. Check out Mark’s cool poem.
Near the beginning of Dave’s story, we see the following:
In 1991, my second son, Greg, who was only 18 months old, was diagnosed with AML leukemia. I was crushed, because I feared for his death, and wanted to be able to love him for my entire life.
I don’t know about you, but this story breaks my heart. It crushes my spirit and causes me to ask, as a father, “Why God? WHY?”
A reader recently sent us a question about God’s forgiveness. He states:
I always end up feeling guilty once I sin and repent because I can’t believe that God really does forgive me when I know I did it on purpose. Doesn’t He get tired of me continually asking to be forgiven for the same thing over and over again? I find it so incredibly hard to believe that He really does forgive me . . .
Sometimes, as believers, we want a word from the Holy Spirit. We want to hear His voice leading us. We want guidance. And when we’re being bombarded with life’s trials, we especially want and desire such a word of guidance.

Alaina says she’s just a kid. Well, that makes her testimony that much more impressive, because she sounds pretty mature to me. I love the following quote in her testimony:
I don’t know how life-changing my story was to you, because after a lot of Bible-reading and praying, these became things that I just knew.
Isn’t it true? If we read, we will know. And that quote portrays another elementary truth about God: He has given us everything we need for life and peace. We have His Word–His letter to us. What will we do with it?
