In The End

A Christian poem about the defeat of death and the glory that awaits the followers of the Jesus of the Bible.

Tom sent in this poem, well, at the end of February, and I’m just getting to it. So that tells you about my back-log. Sorry . . . if you’ve submitted a poem or a testimony, trust me, it’ll get up here someday.

Anyway, this poem reminds us that one day Jesus will set up His kingdom, gather His own to Him and defeat death. What a glorious day that will be.

Mike’s Christian Testimony – Freedom from Drugs & Alcohol

Mike’s testimony of how God freed him from the stranglehold of drugs and alcohol and gave him his life back.

Mike sent in this story a while ago and I finally got around to posting it. I appreciate this story a lot, probably because it contains a lot of similarities to my own story. Of course there are differences, but it’s amazing how God finds ways to reach each of us.

Here’s an excerpt from his story to capture your interest . . .

For years I was a daily user of marijuana, and spent my weekends partying with friends. I would go through jobs almost as fast as I would smoke a carton of cigarettes, that is until I was offered the ultimate job for a person with my lifestyle, a place I had burned most of my free time and money at, the Renton Pub. Now I would at least be paid to be there (although I would still recycle most of my paycheck back to The Pub). At this point I led a life of little responsibility and no accountability. I met a young lady and I eventually became responsible for the birth of a baby girl. At this point my transgressions had not been actualized, and little had changed in my life. A few months later I met another young woman and once again became responsible for another pregnancy.

Christopher’s Testimony

Read Christopher’s testimony – the story of how God opened the ears and eyes of an unbelieving scientist.

It’s pretty amazing when God steps in and changes someone’s life. What’s even more amazing is when it’s a person who’s already convinced that God is a myth. Check out Christopher’s testimony – the story of how God opened the ears and eyes of an unbelieving scientist.

My Life Before Jesus

Brooke’s testimony tells of God’s mercy. He listens to those who call on His name.

Brooke’s testimony is powerful.

It’s an illustration of God’s promise to never leave or forsake us.

Brooke ran as far from Him as she could. But when she needed Him, she cried out to Him and He answered her. He came to her in her time of need.

Not only that, but Brooke had a network of Christians praying for her. God listened to those prayers and he responded to them in a powerful way. The prayer of the saints is effective (James 5:16).

I rejoice with Paul, knowing that the gospel of God is being preached through Brooke and her story. Praise God! I’m thankful to serve One who will never leave or forsake us . . . One who will always welcome us home.

From Atheist to Believer

From Atheist to Believer – a hard-core atheist and miserable drug addict turns to Jesus.

I recently received this moving story from Shawn. He lived a life full of pain and regret. He was a hard-core atheist and fully addicted to drugs. He spent years of his life wallowing in misery and depression. Find out how God freed him from all of it.

One detail that might go unnoticed in this story really struck me. As Shawn lived in a hotel for months on end, he threw a Bible away a number of times. Every time he came back to his room the maid had taken it out of the trash and put it on his bed or nightstand. We don’t know that maid’s name or anything about her. What we know is that her commitment to pulling that Bible out of the trash ultimately saved Shawn’s life.

Let her example encourage you to listen to Jesus today.

Karinne’s Christian Testimony

We all lose loved ones. Sometimes it’s cancer – sometimes a car wreck. It’s easy to question God in such times.

Karinne lost her mother to cancer. During the ordeal she became angry with God. Why had He taken her mother?

She soon discovered that God has ways of letting us know that He still cares about us, even when we’re struggling with life’s challenges. He often shows us His love in surprising ways.

Read Karinne’s testimony and be blessed.

Mercy Me

A poem about a choice we all have: give in to temptation or resist and live a Spirit-filled life!

Another inspirational poem by Robbie.

It’s easy to give in to temptation and the lures of the world. Sin calls to us daily. But we always have an option. We can give in to sin, which leads to misery, or we can give in to the Spirit and live a life of fulfillment and hope.

Mercy Me

Don’t forget! If you have a poem you’d like to submit (or a personal testimony), send it in! We’re called to share what Jesus has done for us. Sharing a poem or testimony is a simple way to do just that.

Debbie’s Testimony of Deliverance

Abuse led to MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder) which led to a chaotic life of false reality.

Here’s an excerpt from this amazing story . . .

At age 12, I was saved. I’d always felt drawn to having a ministry of some kind. In the 80’s, at a different church, I started a ministry of going to the juvenile detention center to talk to the kids. During that time, I went to the pastor and told him what I went through in my head each day. When numerous prayers for me to be healed weren’t answered in that church’s timing, I was told I was possessed. That pastor told me the only way for me to be free, would be for me to kill myself. I was told to stay away from people, and people were told to stay away from me. So, I stayed away from most people for the past twenty six years. I’d always been terrified of people because of all the abuse in my life, but after that, I was terrified of church people, too. I’d been rejected by a church, and felt rejected by God, too. Those were the lowest times in my life.
